This lesson is on the solo I played on the song Say I Do from the Sugar Hill album One Step Forward. This is one of the first songs I recorded when joining the Lonesome River Band.

This is the second break in the tune Snow Shoes of my Sugar Hill solo project Studebaker. The A part has a chordal movement that is fun to play! The B part has a floating lick that brings a nice touch to this variation.

Snow Shoes was one of my Dad's favorite tunes. It can be found on a Tommy Jackson Fiddle LP.  I later recorded this song on my solo guitar album Studebaker.

I take the B part minor chord and substitute a Dominant sounding line in its place.

One of my most requested original tunes. It appeared on my Sugar Hill solo cd Studebaker. It is played in an E position but capoed to the third fret for the key of G.

I learned this version of Big Scioty from the Bing Brothers from West Virginia. They learned it directly from the Hammons Family also from West Virginia. This version is in a floating style.

This solo begins up the neck and has a cool D dominant line that you're going to love!
